The valley´s proximity to Lake Garda creates a microclimate that is particularly favorable for plentiful vegetation - so much that it allows vine growing at an altitude of 600 meters, and, several kinds of vegetables.
The importance of organic agriculture is demonstrated by the Mostra Mercato, a traditional products and vegetables exhibition market that dates back to 1969. The Mostra usually takes place from Mid-September to late October and offers cultural exhibits, wine and food-tasting as well as the opportunity to buy local produce.
