Vegetables Festivals
The valley´s proximity to Lake Garda creates a microclimate that is particularly favorable for plentiful vegetation - so much that it allows vine growing at an altitude of 600 meters, and, several kinds of vegetables.
The importance of organic agriculture is demonstrated by the Mostra Mercato, a traditional products and vegetables exhibition market that dates back to 1969. The Mostra usually takes place from Mid-September to late October and offers cultural exhibits, wine and food-tasting as well as the opportunity to buy local produce.
The Cammina Grestana is a one day event in the summer. This walk takes you along the fields and forests and also includes food- and wine-tasting. Prices run around €50 for a family of 4, or €18 per adult, €10 per child under 14. Take a look at the previous edition of the event: Cammina Grestana.
